Collage

= a technique (term derived from the French coller: "to glue) where various materials like paper, fabric, photographs, and found objects are arranged and affixed to a supporting surface, such as canvas or board, to create a new, cohesive composition; it merges disparate, often pre-existing, elements to form a unique, layered, and sometimes 3D image or object.
