Artistic disciplines:

Process

Mihaela Vezentan's working process unfolds along two interconnected trajectories: one begins with textile gestures — knots, threads, repetitive structures derived from domestic lace, enlarged until they become immersive environments, the second trajectory revisits childhood as a form of healing by reclaiming joy and creativity, inspired by early tactile memories — simple gestures of folding, interlacing, and constructing small or large scale surfaces, by hand.

Notable themes

Recurring theme in Mihaela Vezentan's works is living room memories, the fragility and sacrifice of women caught in the domestic sphere, feminine identity, community and aspects of commoning. She investigates the ways in which time is perceived, fragmented, and reclaimed, especially in relation to women’s lived realities shaped by care, routine, and invisible labor.
