Robert Fekete
Biography
Robert Fekete (b. in ..., Romania), (he/him), visual artist, of Romanian ethnical background, grew up in Romania, lives and works in Cluj-Napoca. A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Robert Fekete is part of the young generation of painters from the Cluj School of Painting. He explores simplicity and the sublime, creating a mysterious, imaginary, and nostalgic world, as a form of neo-romanticism.

Process
Robert Fekete's experiment with mixed media combining oil, acrylic, sand and spray paint. His compositions are derived from fragments of source materials including film frames, old newspapers and photographs.
Notable themes
Recurring theme in Robert Fekete's works is creating a pseudo-romanticism as a counter-narrative or recontextualisation of the romantical imaginary.
